Christmas cookies

My first Christmas cookies! A little help from Mummy, but made by my own fair hand..
Truth be told, she claimed to be exhausted after stirring the bowl for 3.5 seconds
But she did do more than her fair share of watching oven to keep a check on when they were ready.
Now it's time to learn the meaning of the word 'share.'

Yet another year goes by....

49 today. Dreadful news. At least Rosie didn't get me up until 7.30am to insist that we eat cake and open presents.

After a delightful rendition of 'Happy birthday dear baldy' it was time to open presents. (Thanks for your help Rosie.)

A wonderful picture from my daughter, featuring Mummy, Daddy and Nemo!

And the cake was pretty delicious too!

Back in Safa

The weather is perfect again, which means time for fun in the park!

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Probably either a plane or a helicopter. Rosie has become expert in spotting them even when barely visible to the naked eye.

Confirmed. A plane according to Rosie. A white one. I can barely see it, let alone tell what colour it is.
Daddy and Rosie enjoying the lunchtime sun. It is nice to live here at this time of year.

A trip on the Safa park express is a perfect way to round off the afternoon!

To infinity and beyond!

Cat for a day!

Believe it or not, this is 7am, and we are off to school in five minutes. Chosen by her Royal Highness as the perfect outfit for fantasy day at school, the trick is now to get her there in the car, in 40 degree heat, whilst wearing a full body nylon cat-suit.
Clearly Rosie considers my stress about her passing out before we reach the car to be nonsense. Certainly, changing is out of the question. Given a choice, she would have slept in it last night.

All that remains is to brush our teeth before we leave. Small cats need to have shiny teeth.
Ready to rock and roll!

The football season starts today!

Soccer tots starts today, and Rosie has the kit and is ready for action!
Check our the new Adidas trainers and official 'Orange Tree United' shirt.
Going to school is serious fun!!!

I love ice cream

Highlight of the day for Rosie. A giant ice cream on the street in Bangkok. We had to buy a real one after such excitement.

A flower for her hair.

Every evening in Thailand featured picking two flowers for Princess Fiona's hair. Note the mini fisherman's trousers too.   We found a man in Bangkok who made them in dwarf size. Five pairs for Rosie, and four normal sized pairs for Mummy.
The girls, ready to hit the town.

Choices, choices

 "What should I choose?? Rice..no.Noodles..no. Chicken..no...How about...
Banana split!!" The perfect evening meal Rosie.

Changing faces

Emotions change with the direction of the wind for Rosie. All the above are within the space of one short meal time. From reflective through cheeky to jolly, before finally settling on the old favourite - grief-stricken.

Cuddle

There's always time for a cuddle with Mummy.

Ow-ow

High drama as Rosie bravely endures a microscopic toe injury. Sorry Rosie, but you really know how to turn on the drama.

If music be the food of love.....

Rosie discovered the joys of the ipod whilst on holiday, to add to her growing list of digital product familiarity.
The experience proved to be an emotionally intense one.
Singing along (loudly) followed, once she had regained her composure.
Actually, her singing is arguably more in tune than her mother.
Clearly a Sesame Street moment.
A more reflective, Jazz-inspired moment.

Dinner is served

Time to get ready for dinner. Now I have to wait while to girls get ready, and Rosie is quickly learning to spend as long getting beautiful as her Mum does!
My two girls, finally ready to go. The odd smile on Rosie's face is partly due to her new attempts to smile for the camera, and partly due to her insistance on lip gloss before she leaves the house.
Me and my girl. Took me five minutes to dress for dinner!
The perfect setting for dinner. Chips and tomato sauce it is then Rosie!
