Daddy at school

 Daddy recently accompanied Rosie to school for 'invite your parents and build a cupcake morning' Luckily Daddy is not considered too much of an embarrassment yet.....

My first compound party

 Party dress on! Time for a party at a house around the corner. A beautiful, grown-up girl.

At the party....spending most of the time pretending to be a new-born in the neighbours baby-gym. Oh well...

British International School of Jeddah - a new pupil.

 Another new milestone for Mouse. Last week she sat an assessment for the best school in Jeddah..and passed! Even better, a place came up (it is normally completely full) and so school life begins. Four thousand pounds down for the first term (thank you British Council!), and she is ready to fly.

 and now she rides it like professional, whizzing round corners and screeching to a halt at will.

Friends

A few days into my new home and country, and I have a friend to boss around, and although Daddy has spent three weeks trying to keep him out (including throwing him over the eight foot high wall into next door's garden)...it looks like that might have been a waste of time and effort..

My new house

Mummy and Rosie have arrived!! Despite fears of airport horrors and immigration delays with illiterate officials, they breezed through. Day one (following a long sleep...) and the boss of the house looks relaxed and chilled....

 and quickly settles into the sofa nearest to the telly. So this will be her sofa I suppose.

 Day two - new friends. Refugees from next door (who have gone away for Ramadan.) Rosie quickly sets about bossing them around and showing them who is in charge.

She has christened this one Barney. I have explained it isn't staying. She doesn't seem to hear me.

Heaven or Hell?

As a special treat, Mouse had a trip to Barbie House Berlin before leaving for the land of no dolls (not strictly true actually...)

 A little girl's idea of Heaven...quite possibly an adult vision of hell.

Berlin draws towards a close..

Two and a half months of being pampered, doted on and generally at the epicentre of the universe are coming to an end and soon it will be time to join Daddy in Jeddah. Visas are almost done. The undivided attention of Uncle Lars and Uncle Robin will be sorely missed. 

Zuckertuete

 Mouse thoroughly approves of this German custom. Children receive these giant cones filled with sweets when they start school. Of course, her school doesn't start for a couple of months, but that is unlikely to mean that she will decline the gift of a Zuckertuete until nearer the time...

Sky high

 More and more adventurous every day! Mummy had to pay for this thrill ride twice....
